What we do
Heart Gate Foundation is a registered Nigerian charity that works in four specific areas. Each one addresses a concrete need.
Health Access
We help vulnerable individuals and low-income households gain access to health insurance schemes they could not otherwise afford. Many families in Nigeria go without basic health coverage because the cost is out of reach. We work to connect them with free and quality health insurance.
Livelihood Support
We provide business support to people in difficult circumstances who are working to rebuild sustainable livelihoods. This means practical assistance for individuals who have the drive to support themselves but lack the resources to get started or recover after a setback.
Food Relief
We distribute food and relief materials to people who do not have enough to meet their basic needs. This covers both ongoing food insecurity and acute situations where communities need immediate support.
Education Grants
We facilitate scholarships, bursaries and educational grants for students who cannot afford the cost of their education. Access to schooling should not depend on a family's financial position.
These four objectives are written into our constitution and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. Every programme we run must fall within one of them.
