Health Access
We help people get health insurance who cannot afford it on their own.
Who this is for
Individuals and families in Lagos who cannot afford health insurance. You do not need to be employed.
What you need to provide
- A completed application form
- Proof of identity (national ID, voter's card, or similar)
- Proof of address
What happens after you apply
We review your application. If you are eligible, we connect you with a health insurance provider at no cost to you. The review timeframe will be confirmed when the programme launches.

Register your interestLivelihood Support
We help people who have lost their livelihood to start again.
Who this is for
People who have lost their livelihood or business and need support to start again. You must be based in Lagos.
What you need to provide
- A completed application form
- Proof of identity (national ID, voter's card, or similar)
- A brief description of your business idea or previous livelihood
What happens after you apply
We assess your situation and, if you are eligible, provide business support. This may include materials, training, or seed funding.

Register your interestFood Relief
We provide food assistance to people who do not have enough to eat.
Who this is for
Individuals and families in Lagos who do not have enough food to meet their basic needs.
What you need to provide

- Proof of identity (national ID, voter's card, or similar)

We verify your situation and arrange food assistance.

We help students who cannot afford school fees, exam fees, or learning materials.
Who this is for
Students in Nigeria who cannot afford school fees, examination fees, or learning materials.
What you need to provide
- A completed application form
- Proof of identity (national ID, voter's card, or similar)
- Proof of enrollment or admission to your school or institution
- Evidence of financial need
What happens after you apply
We review your application. If you are eligible, we arrange payment of fees or provision of materials directly to your institution.

Volunteer with us
Heart Gate Foundation is a new charity setting up its first programmes. We need volunteers to help us reach the people who need support most. There is no minimum time commitment and all skills are welcome.
Become a volunteer
Join our team and help us deliver support to people across Lagos.
Who can volunteer
Anyone aged 18 or over who wants to give their time. You do not need any specific qualifications. We welcome people from all backgrounds.
What volunteers help with
- Programme delivery -- helping us run our health, livelihood, food and education programmes on the ground
- Community outreach -- spreading the word about available support to people who need it
- Administrative support -- helping with paperwork, data entry, phone calls and other office tasks

- Proof of identity (national ID, voter's card, or similar)
What happens after you apply
We review your application and invite you for a short conversation so we can match you with the right role. We will let you know the outcome within two weeks.
